One month baby celebration
A few sleepless nights and swooosshh suddenly it's one month already!! My little baby looks a bit plump now, and I worried that her 0-3 months clothes suddenly feels tight, already! Hahaha. But all in all, she's a healthy little baby!
Now we need to prepare for the one month celebration! We wanted to have a small but intimate celebration with our close family and friends, who has been generously showered our baby with attentions, prayers, and gifts!
Based on our Indonesian Chinese origin, we wanted to combine those 2 culture in our celebration. In the morning of D day, we had baby's hair being cut just a bit by grandparents as we didn't want to shave bald our baby girl's hair!! Then we prepared angku kueh, kueh lapis, red eggs, pastel and risoles. And for the main dish, we ordered "tumpeng" from a close friend. With a toddler and newborn baby, we didn't have time to prepare anything in our kitchen! Tumpeng is Indonesian "official" food to have during special event. It features yellow rice tower, surrounded by the dishes. The elder family member or honored people usually chosen to cut the top of the rice tower, then the rest of the guest can start eat afterwards.

If you notice the flowers hanging on the wall, it was home made! Some of the nights after breastfeeding, then i'll have some free time (only when my elder son asleep, otherwise he will keep tag along beside me all day long!), then i'll start to cut, glue and shape these flowers with full of love! So excited to have baby girl that I finally can have pink flowers on my wall after few years with LEGO banner before.
It was a memorable and fun day for all of us. The first milestone for my baby girl ^o^ Thank you to everyone who was involved in the preparation of this small party. Thank you very much to everyone who send us prayer and generous gifts, my friend who helped me with the flowers making, my friend who prepare the tumpeng for us!
