Johor Bahru Hotel Jen and Legoland trip
One day, we decided we needed some break from all the works and school and also to celebrate our anniversary. Since my tummy is already so big and heavy with 35 weeks pregnancy, we opted to go somewhere near and doesn't require flying. It was also maybe the last trip before new baby come out! Since Eric really loves LEGO. So 3D2N Legoland trip it is!
So we booked discounted Legoland tickets (from the Legoland website directly), then we booked our "deluxe room with harbour view and breakfast included" in Hotel Jen at Puteri Harbour from www.booking.com. (It's known as Hello Kitty Land bus stop) We also checked and checked what's the fastest and easiest route for us to reach the hotel. (also maybe cheapest, haha!) Since we stay in the west of Singapore, and only have 2 small cabin bags, we wanted to try taking the public transport.
That Friday morning after breakfast around 9 am plus, the 3 of us took MRT to Jurong East MRT. And just below the MRT, we arrived at Jurong East bus interchange. We can found a queue for CW3/ CW4 bus. Adults need to pay $4 each, and $1.5 for child fare. (Please keep the stub receipt)
This bus will bring us to Tuas immigration, where we need to go down from the bus bringing all our luggage, chop our passport out of Singapore, then we can take any CW bus by showing the stub, and continue the journey to Johor immigration only across the bridge. Once we reach Johor, we need to chop our passport again, and that's it, we reach CIQ 2nd link. The CW3 bus that we rode, turn back to Singapore.
We planned to get a local Malaysian taxi from the CIQ 2nd link to the hotel, which is not too far. BUT we couldn't even find the taxi stand. No single taxi in sight. And the JP02 bus that we knew can bring us from CIQ to the hotel, will come only every 3 hours at 8.30 am, 11.30 am, 2.30 pm, and 5.30 pm. And it was only 10 am+!! So we looked around, we found a small convenient shop that sells ice cream, biscuits, etc. WAHHH so cheap compared to Singapore price!
So after treating ourselves with the ice cream, we stood near the bus lane trying to figure out how to go to our hotel. And we asked someone there whether there's another option to go to our hotel, suddenly he pointed out, this bus is going from CIQ 2nd link to Medini mall, near Legoland he said. So we just hop on to that bus, paying 2 RM for each adult, and 1 RM for the child. So next time if we want to go from CIQ 2nd link to Legoland directly can take this bus instead of waiting for JP02.

We're the only 3 persons inside the bus, and it's a very comfortable and clean bus as well. shiussssshhh..... the journey went very fast, and we reach Medini Mall. In front of the mall, there are a lot of executive taxi, who wanted to charge us around 20-30 RM to bring us to our hotel. But suddenly we saw Hotel Jen shuttle bus arrived at the lobby! We directly ask the driver whether we can have a lift to the hotel. The driver asked, are u checking in today? YES we are! Woohoooo.... a free ride to the hotel it is!

We reach hotel at 11.30 am, and have been told that the room will be ready only at 3 pm. So we just left our luggages with the concierge, and roaming around for lunch. So our hotel is located in the complex of Puteri Harbour. The best thing is, the hotel wifi is open and can be accessed when we are around the compound. Not only inside the hotel!
There are some restaurants here, convenient store, Thomas Land, and Hello Kitty Land, and of coz a small private boat harbour as the name indicated.
Since we love Japanese, we tried Sushi King for lunch. They just opened at 12 pm, and we were the first guests of the day :D The taste is quite decent, fresh sashimi, and good price! We were so hungry so had a big lunch, and it costs us 88 RM.
After lunch, I went to Starbucks just a few shops away just to have a nice place to sit, while my hubby and son went to Thomas Land.
The Thomas Land ticket price is RM85 per person. I've been told it'll be cheaper if we buy the ticket for both Thomas Land and Hello Kitty Land. But since we only have boy, we just stick with Thomas Land only. They spent only around 3 hours there, since the place is not too big.
We went back to the lobby afterwards, booked the shuttle bus to Legoland for the next day, got our room key, then we directly head to our room in tower 2. The concierge brought our stuff to the room not long after. It was a very nice room with the 2 layer sofa bed!!
The toiletries are awesome, and they have rainshower, it'll be perfect if they have bathtub inside. The staff surprised us with a nice decoration in our room for our anniversary, they left us a nice notes, and a layered cake inside the fridge!! Couldn't ask for more. Thank you very much Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour! ^.^

After we settle down in the room, we went for swimming! A very nice rooftop pool, with a sunset view. There are 3 pools here, 1 for adult, 1 for baby, and the middle one is 1 m deep pool for kids. My son loved this middle pool so much since he could stand inside and play around.

And then since we're very tired, we just wanted to have a quick dinner. So we bought some take away food from Starbucks (around 16-18 RM per portion for pasta) and Sushi King again! Plus a big bottle of 5 L water from the convenient store below the hotel.
The next morning, we went down to have some breakfast, and we were happy that they have quite an extensive spread of breakfast choice. Kids corner where kids can take their own food, coffee corner, bakery, salad, fresh yoghurt, cereal, dimsum, Malay, Chinese and Indian food, you name it!
Right after breakfast, we waited in the appointed place for the shuttle bus. Exactly on time, shuttle bus arrived and off we go to Legoland!!
